The Sette Venti Resort is a work in progress. The name of the resort, (The Seven Winds), comes from his site, the top of one of the highest hill overlooking Lucca, Tuscany, with a spectacular view. An existing and old farmer house (750 square meters) is been restructured as a resort with a new interiors, new set of pool, a spa area and more, all designed respecting the surrounding environment, more than 10 hectares. This project is another cooperation of ambientStudio with Studio63, an international architectural firm specialized in interior design. Our landscape planning and design will be addressing a sustainable way to incorporate the new building and his use into the the existing agricultural and forestal set. The olive grove will be transformed to obtain a more efficient organic olive oil production. A new organic vineyard and orchard will be added too. This one will be based on our belief of recovering the historical agricultural landscape. It is based on organic production of "rare and forgotten local fruit tree varieties and species with the goal of rescuing them from extinction by using local knowledge and people's memories of lost flavors and tastes" in what is called tree archaeology. Special small gardens areas are scattered on the real estate so the Guests will enjoy meditation, privacy, organic meals, wine and olive oil tastings and private moments under the stars. A small open greenery theater, in full respect of the antique tradition of the Italian "teatro di verzura" has been designed for outdoor plays and music performances. New paths especially designed and tested by us, using GPS techniques, will increase the resort offer and increase the willingness to explore the surroundings by foot, mountain bikes and horse riding. A fitness loop for different level and users has been designed too. Energy needs will be supplied by wind powered turbines and by solar panels. Phythoremediation techniques with a dedicated planted area will be used to filter and clean up the water of the real estate. This project has been quite a professional challenge. We finished the design phase with all the research and knowledge required to satisfy our Client.
